Eric In A Bottle 2: Harvest Time in Virginia

Join us on a visit to the Blue Ridge Mountains where winemaker Jim Law of Linden Vineyards is preparing this year’s vintage. This summer’s heat and dry weather have made it the earliest harvest in 20 years. Whites like chardonnay and sauvignon blanc ripened in late August, while cabernet, merlot, petit verdot and cabernet franc are being harvested now. It’s a great time to visit a local vineyard and see the work that goes into making each bottle!

Eric In A Bottle

Take a tour of wine country Washington, DC – the city that drinks more wine than anywhere else in the US. In this first episode, we talk to shoppers about their favorites, test the knowledge of a DC wine merchant, and taste a pair of light-bodied summer reds: an Oregon Pinot Noir versus a Cru Beaujolais from Brouilly. Cheers!
